Apparently, the Boneyard wasn't factored in the "Where to Have Fun"

Well, actually, the Boneyard is ranked quite high in all 50 states on the "Where to Have Fun" scale. Unfortunately for Connecticut, while they do have the Huskies, the USA has the most Huskies fans.Apparently, the Boneyard wasn't factored in the "Where to Have Fun"

Have you ever experienced a 100 acre corn maze? With pumpkins carved by Lucifer himself? With children? Living (or visiting) a Stephen King nightmare is high on most people's list.I can't speak to a lot of those places (Nebraska? Really?), but I'd rank Rhode Island waaaay ahead of Connecticut on the fun scale. For one thing, if you want to start your fun day in, say, Newport, you can finish it in, say, Providence without any problem at all because the state is just that small.
I'm with you there. Everywhere I've lived has been the #1 fun state.I can't complain...I live in the #1 fun state.
Although I lived in California in the late 80's and early 90's and enjoyed it immensely, right now , I can think of far better things to do then prepping my go bag for the next earthquake, mudslide or forest fire.........I can't complain...I live in the #1 fun state.

Connecticut does? The pathetic response to COVID in South Carolina is a big reason I'm moving back to NYC/NNJ when I retire. It also has the lowest Covid infection rate right now. Could the two be related?
Ooooh. Do they use a trebuchet? If so, awesome. That's worth the price of admission.Delaware has Punkin Chuckin. West Virginia has the New River Gorge Bridge. What more could you want?![]()
If Obesity and Fun are related, Iowa should be first on the list. I always felt incredibly thin whenever I stopped on the highway on my way to Colorado.I guess proximity to NYC and Boston doesn't help your ranking. Some of the states higher on the list were real head scratchers. Iowa?

Me too! Sunday breakfast on the beach just after dawn. Paddleboarder and dog.Now live in the #2 fun state!!! And enjoying every day!
Air cannons, catapults, and trebuchets. They have it all. Mythbusters did a special from Punkin' Chuckin' awhile back. It may be on Youtube. As for the New River Gorge, they have an annual Bridge Day celebration where folks bungee jump and parachute (base jump) off of the bridge.Ooooh. Do they use a trebuchet? If so, awesome. Now, if the New River Gorge Bridge allows bungie jumping, then it seems all is equal. Even better, how about a trebuchet bungie jump?
Connecticut has the 5th most state parks, and entry is free if you have a Connecticut license plate. Not bad for such a small state.Makes a good point, Connecticut doesn't spend enough on parks and rec.
Last night I heard that the Punkin Chuckin' had ceased to be, presumably due to liability issues. This was from some people who'd tried to go a couple of years ago.Air cannons, catapults, and trebuchets. They have it all. Mythbusters did a special from Punkin' Chuckin' awhile back. No bungee jumping on the New River Gorge bridge any more, but they do still have base jumping. A friend of mine (WV native) used to go to Bridge Day every year, always waiting for a parachute not to open (or not open in time). Yeah, he was crazy.
