Jeff Hathaway, UConn's athletic director until his forced retirement Aug. 19, apparently had major reservations about the changes that would need to be made in order for the Huskies to welcome Drummond right away.

that's really about all you need to know. i certainly don't think all the issues regarding the MCBB team are Hathaway's fault - some blame lies directly with JC - but i'm thrilled JH is gone.
