Regarding Crystal's uniform number, I would think #2 would be fitting (half of Moriah, to avoid setting expectations too high). On the other hand, wearing #5 would be a way for Crystal Dangerfield to pay homage to CD2.
Regarding how UConn handles screens when on defense, what I observe most often is "switch on screens". The person guarding the screener switches to guard the ball handler, and the one previously guarding the ball handler guards the screener. That worked in the recent past because all five players were versatile enough to defend anybody, so they didn't have to worry too much about mismatches. Still, I always thought UConn would be vulnerable to a team that made a conscious effort to create mismatches, but opponents never seemed to do that.
At least when Natalie is not on the floor, that will continue to be true next year. I wonder if the past year's pattern will continue insofar as Natalie being on the floor will necessitate a zone defense.
