One year went from row A section 205 (on the end) to row DD center court

Called UCONN and they considered that an upgrade. Expalined as pyramid staratgy top center better than lower corner. ???????

Now it's come full circle. This year I'm in 108.

Also the marketing dept. creates ill will with its season ticketholders one day after sending in your payment for season tickets they offer $15 seats and XL prono codes for half price tickets.

The least they could do is throw season ticketholders a bone and give you Free parking at Gampel.

yeah, we were emeffing the athletic dept last night when they kept flashing the $15 dollar ticket specials on the video board during the game, a big time WTF.

Demand for UConn tickets to all three of our 'major' programs seems to be way off - it's been trending down for a few years, but the bottom has fallen out.

Bad matchups, bad promotion, marginal facilities and a bad economy have met at UConn.

On the men's side, I think all of the BS has taken a toll. While fans on this board have are telling themselves that this season counts. The fans that actually go to games disagree and are voting with their wallet.

UConn never ran ticket specials in the past because they didn't want to piss off season ticket holders. And were criticized for not filling the building. Now they do just that and they are emeffers.

I have bought MBB season tickets since 1990 and over-all it has been a great ride. Actually, when I was debating if I should donate/ buy them, a friend who goes to all the Univ of Texas FB games (Home & Away), said I would never regret donating and going to games. They were right, but the UConn Athletic Dept has a huge tune deaf and arrogant approach to both donors and fans - some try but are clumsy others are just milking what was a cash cow that no longer gives off much milk. And to be fair some are great guys who try to do whats right.

Aftter meeting Hathaway a couple of times I intentionally avoided any events / "opportunities" to chat. No vision and I sensed little integrity. In contrast while Lew may have had a greedy side to him - I always enjoyed meeting him. I also know he worked very well with Coach Calhoun.

I had a bad feeling coming into the season that the attendance will be down because of the post season ban. Make no mistake about it 8,000 people is unacceptable but it was a game vs New Hampshire. I think we will get a real feel for this with the Washington game on the 29th and the Louisville big Monday game in January. Those are big XL Center games on the schedule and theres no excuse to see attendance numbers below 15,000.

That's the truth. I know many folks that have been turned off by that approach over the years. How can they turn it around?
