So are you saying we learned nothing from all the close games we've had in the Big East so far? I would say we learned a lot from those games which is why we had the performance we did tonight. We don't need Creighton to be good for us to see what our weaknesses are we have the best coaching staff in the country to do that and I trust them.I will say one thing, I am a bit disappointed not to have a good Creighton team because a good Creighton team with their coach always does a great job of exploiting and showing UConn it's weaknesses. Hurley then has done a great job of adjusting and covering those weaknesses. I'm not saying I want a loss, but there wasn't a ton to learn from for the coaching staff in terms of adjustments it can make.
Let's not look past XavierWe have been tested by very good non conference teams but the St. John’s one will be interesting.
UConn win close game - They suck. Season is in jeopardy.Blowouts are fun but against a bad team lets pump the breaks a bit. Lets hope this is a sign of this team starting to run on all cylinders and this performance because more the norm. Reed needs to clean up the poor fouls and i have a couple other nitpicks but this team is well on its way to having a fun run through the BE Tourney and a #1 seed in the Tourney. As legit a chance at the title as anyone no doubt.
That's about the most effective "January slump" I've ever seen......
called a foul on Creighton, not sure what the refs were looking at, it was clearly a foul on SmithDoes anyone know what happened on that second half play where Smith bear hugged the ball handler and UConn ended up with the ball? Was it an offensive foul?
Yes. Very much doubt we will play down at all for that game at MSG. Will probably be the most telling game for us since the OOC games. Those showed how good we can be. The SJU game should show us how good we really are right now.We have been tested by very good non conference teams but the St. John’s one will be interesting.
Maybe we had it all figured out in advance and didn't need any lessons......I will say one thing, I am a bit disappointed not to have a good Creighton team because a good Creighton team with their coach always does a great job of exploiting and showing UConn it's weaknesses. I think they called a foul before the bear hug because the Creighton player was aggressively pushing him with two hands. I think they viewed that as a little too much physicalityDoes anyone know what happened on that second half play where Smith bear hugged the ball handler and UConn ended up with the ball? Was it an offensive foul?
The app I was looking at might not have been refreshed. Creighton scored 28 points in the second half, and 58 total.15 2nd half points?? For who?

What will people complain about now!? Not winning by enough? The refs? “Killer instinct?” Donny Marshall?
21-1. 17 in a row.
