I think this is likely true for a lot of us. Definitely for me, except I am questioning how much I want to nurture it, or am I just going to use it as an excuse to avoid more social situations because I became accustomed to not being in them for so long?
I find that I am usually happier once I force myself to do the more social thing, but it may require more forcing than usual for me, at least for a while.
Given my hearing impairment, I always preferred smaller social gatherings in less noisy places. And we have mostly done those anyway, without worrying about it. I need a little push sometimes for the other social situations, but I'm usually glad I did them. I'm thrilled with the news today that Mass is dropping the mask mandate and most other restrictions May 29th. Keeping those through summer was going to be bad for summer tourism. Looking forward to being able to converse with people in public spaces.
This changes my outlook on the summer a little bit.
