Why are so many folks in Nigeria sporting New Nikes?

Could it be because of the 74 Nigerians playing NCAA basketball?

I'm confused by this question? Nigerian people like people around the world like Nike, why is this surprising.

This situation reminds me of an discussion I had about a whisleblower. Guy was stealing from the company but before he was confronted he blew the whistle on his boss who it turns out was getting payoffs from vendors. Somebody told me the first guy was a hero. Another guy claimed he was scum because he was disloyal to his team. I just bought they were both scum and reported both to the cops.
