Lets pack MSG with husky nation! In order to amplify our presence I propose we make the game a white out. The problem with husky fans is that they always wear different UCONN colors or just regular clothes. When I went to Barclays for the Maryland game the ratio of uconn fans to maryland fans was pretty close to 50/50 but most of the maryland fans wore red, unlike uconn fans who wore blue, white or grey, or just regular clothing, so it seemed like maryland fans outnumbered uconn fans.

White sticks out more than blue and grey, and for those fans who don't have any white uconn gear (shame on you), all you have to do is wear a white tshirt which everyone has, so there should be no excuse. In all likelihood it looks like it will be uconn v. indiana this friday, so it'll be awesome to have two passionate fan bases in one packed stadium. I'm hoping we can really show up for this team which is starting to look like a Dream Season 2.0, and I hope we can drown out the hoosier fans.

I know its only three days away but many boneyarders will be going to the game and many more know of other people attending the game, so I say lets get the word out to everyone we know to wear all white for the games at MSG.

Bump- Anyone else planning on wearing white? In order for this to be effective as many uconn fans as possible need to wear white.

Once again it really does not take much to make sure to wear white for the game, and if everyone does, the outcome will be awesome.

I know the Indiana fans will bring their A game, lets make sure we bring ours and establish which state is the true capital of basketball of the world.

With BC Alumni and Students it shouldn't be too hard for a white out.... oh we are talking about white shirts?

It's not going to work through a messageboard - not a high enough percentage of people will read it.

It mostly only works when the marketing department buys 10000 cheap shirts at $2 a pop and hands them out at the turnstiles.

There is no reason for it to not work for Friday. Yes not everyone reads this board but if all the Boneyarders are willing to do it and spread the word to all other uconn fans whom they know are going to the game that will be enough to get the word out and it will naturally get to other fans.

Too many posters on the Boneyard complain about a lot of things including a perceived lack of fan support for the teams, yet they do little to change that. Instead of making a post stating its not going to work, if you had posted "I'll be wearing white" it will give the perception to other boneyarders that it could work and they might inform others about it.

At the end of the day it really is just as simple as wearing a white tshirt. If that is too much to ask for as a fan for a big game in the mecca of basketball....then I really don't know what to tell you...

I am going to wear white, I am going to continue to try and spread the word. Tomorrow I plan on emailing president Herbst for her to just shoot a simple email to all students and alumni to wear white for the game. All you need to do is just wear white if you are going to the game, and if you are not going to the game then tell others.

"Hey President Herbst, can you take a few minutes out of running a multi-faceted research university with a nine-figure endowment to ask people to wear a color to an on-campus basketball game tonight that runs against the main social media talking point of the athletic department? Regards, AfgHusky."

Bleed blue. Wear blue.

Plus, if we play Indiana, and you could somehow coordinate all the UConn fans coming from work and who knows where else to bring a spare white tshirt with them to create a couple "white out" sections in a big arena, and Indiana fans wear their usual attire, then MSG would just look like this:

Yes I know blue is the main color associated with uconn, but white is not that far behind blue for uconn. White stands out more and for those who do not have uconn gear, they can always just wear a white tshirt, which everyone has.

I was also planning on writing a template of an email so she would not spend too much time on it, she could adjust it or completely disregard it. Emailing people to wear white does not take that long to do, especially for a capable & successful woman like susan.

Most importantly I would never use "regards" in an email to the president, I at least have enough respect to end off with "All the best"...

Can you ask people making a night in Manhattan to wear white t-shirts?

So that 35% of the building that you can't see on television because it's pitch dark in the seats will be coordinated?

This is an absolutely ridiculous thread. The fact of the matter is that UConn fans wear red, green, blue, purple, yellow... And it will never change. I will be wearing a blue UConn shirt... And if the rest wear any color UConn it's a success. To ask our fan base to do any sort of "white out" or "blue out" is like asking UNC fans to wear navy blue. It is just not realistic.

I will wear my white shirt.

That being said - the athletic department can't even get this to happen at Gampel when they put a white shirt on every seat.

Why not the blue 'UNITED WE STAND.' 2K Sports Classic shirt that the team will be wearing?

Most people, especially in this time of year, wear white tshirts underneath clothing they have, so for those who do not have white uconn gear they can simply take off their top shirt for the game and put it back on after their game, so their night in Manhattan will not be ruined. Also how does wearing blue uconn gear as opposed to wearing white uconn gear affect one's night out in Manhattan?

And are you even going to the game?

If the majority thinks blue is better, that is fine with me, I have both white and blue uconn gear. I was thinking of those people who do not have any uconn gear or blue uconn gear, they can simply wear a white tshirt which everyone has so there should be no excuse. Also white sticks out more, but if most people think blue is better, then lets go with blue.

I was hoping to send Herbst an email soon and envisioned a white out but if more people want blue I can send her an email asking for a blue out.

Not sure I agree that Husky fans were equal in numbers to MD fans. I was also present and the noise levels supporting the Terps play were far greater in volume and exceeded the decibel level of UConn fans at all times. It was a Maryland "home" game and that school's fans really turned out to support their favorite team.
