Without knowing how UConn defines the word minority in 2018, the 40% of the class referenced as minorities appears to be a marked change even within the last couple decades. Similarly, 25% of the new class being from anywhere other than Connecticut is a big change since the 1980s' predominantly lily white, Nutmegger student body.

1300 average SAT: One part scoring inflation balanced with improved applicant credentials, increased cost of private and out-of-state schools, and UConn's recognized improved reputation? Regardless, AreBee1969 and her classmates make her father, myself, and other Connecticut alumni appear a wee bit smah-tuh. Good luck to the class of 2022, '23, '24, '25 or so ...
 
UConn is cancelling graduation. They should do everything possible to postpone it.
