Without knowing how UConn defines the word minority in 2018, the 40% of the class referenced as minorities appears to be a marked change even within the last couple decades. Similarly, 25% of the new class being from anywhere other than Connecticut is a big change since the 1980s' predominantly lily white, Nutmegger student body.
