Yes. They would be one of 5 automatic qualifiers. Only 11 teams make the tourney, though, and I don’t know enough about the selection process to say if the #11 ranked Huskies would make it.

The pairwise rankings (which is the criteria that is used for tournament selection) for the women are dominated by the Big 10 and the ECAC schools. Ohio State is far and away the best team to this point in the season. Most likely the only way UConn Women make the Tournament is via the automatic qualifier route.

I remember as a freshman at Connecticut, I took a gym class...yes a gym class...and I picked ice skating. The outdoor rink was out probably where the skating & hockey facilities are now, a long & winding road off of Hillside Avenue. Now it's Jim Calhoun Way...in 1966-1967 it obviously wasn't. Like mile walk from the "Jungle " in single digit temperatures...each way, not to mention uphill!
