Yes! If Gabby is NOT an All-American, the term is meaningless. "Most complete," most versatile, most energetic, most athletic: really, who's any better?

Does anyone know if any other D-1 Woman has had a triple double this year?

I doubt few posters here doubt your prediction, because it's not too far fetched. She got as many as 18 games left THIS year, and approx 37 or so games NEXT year. that's 55 games (opportunities) to do so. If Gabby can pull this off at least once more, she will create a program record that will probably NEVER be broken (another record that can be put on the Mount Rushmore of UConn's women's basketball records) A player would have to have 3 triple doubles to break that record. We all know how hard it is to record one.

Geno reflected back last night during his post game presser, that of all the great players he's had come through his program, only 5 players have reached this milestone. Who knows, UConn just may get a "freak of nature" recruit that's super gifted and athletic that can pull it off. One of those well rounded, unselfish athletes that only comes around once in a lifetime. If so, I hope I'm still around to see it.
I think the likelihood of triple doubles at UConn is indeed rare and that's primarily because of the type of ball that Geno has his team buying into. I think UConn over the past 20 years has had a number of players capable of triple doubles if they were in a different system, playing for a different program. To do it in a selfless program like UConn is extraordinarily difficult, indeed. Great job, Gabby!

Congratulations, Gabby!!!!

An observation on these milestones............................notice WHEN (during the season) they occurred.

Lishness & Mosqueda-Lewis: during the NCAA tournament.
Stokes & Williams: during conference play
Dolson: during pre-conference play.

I think the amount of minutes played ought to be highlighted, not the amount of games. She's probably played 3/4 of the minutes this year that she had played in the previous two years combined but that doesn't take away from how much her game has improved. She's an amazing dynamo who is a big reason why this team is so good.

Nah, the difference in minutes isn't as dramatic as that. She's getting about 50-60% more minutes per game.

The assists per 40 minutes for her first two combined seasons is about 3.1. This year so far she's at about 7.6 per 40. That's something. :)

Man, we haven't had a triple-double in almost 2 years. What have these guys been doing, anyway? ;)

Stewie could have been on list, taken out right at end of 3rd quarter....

I loved it when the bench went crazy after Gabby's 10th assist - they knew what was going on!

Moriah was a triple-double threat everytime she took the floor.
