UConn Baseball has done this with its best and future MLB player (Reggie Crawford) out for the season and with its #1 recruit deciding to go pro (#7 overall pick in MLB draft). Another wonderful job by Jim Penders.

True, but this is a very well balanced team. Good pitching, good hitting, solid infield defense and the catcher has a cannon, I think he’s thrown out like 18 guys so far this season. They are 40-8. It’s a good team even by Connecticut standards.
