Wow...what a tough watch. My favorite part was watching Sen. Welch try to get Patel to say “Joe BIden won”. And what happened to Tillis? How much more could he kiss Trump’s butt? I thought he was one of the normies? And…once again I am reminded every time that I watch Congress…we desperately need term/age limits. Grassley was born in 1933. I have nothing against 91 year old people…but they shouldn’t be in key government roles.

I keep thinking something would happen to stop Gabbard and Patel from being confirmed…but it appears republicans are just lining up to do Trump’s bidding….again.

It’s hard to watch that hearing today and think Patel should have any chance. He makes Trump look honest.

I have no idea how republicans can repeatedly rake Wray over the coals, but they are cool with Patel. You know Wray…the republican appointed by Trump?

But..this isn’t surprising.

First, nearly 3 hours of Tulsi; currently, I'm through 2½ of the 3 hours of RFK, Jr; and after that Patel, which I see runs 5+ hours.

I wonder how long before I fall asleep.

This is the sound of the Overton window moving. None are qualified to be employed by anyone. Patel is by far the most dangerous. Kennedy is going to face a ton of pushback. How much damage can Gabbard actually do when Trump, the bigger Russian assets, is POTUS.

Patel is trying to turn the FBI into the Geatapo. Bondi isn't going to cross him.

I did a rare thing today and actually watched some of the hearings on MSNBC. The commentators repeatedly suggested the Rs who were on the fence changed their votes not only due to pressure of being primaried with Musk providing the funding, but also because of physical threats to themselves and their families.

There was no real evidence provided for the latter.

I know Chris Murphy talked about the threats to him, his family and other Democratic lawmakers. Assuming the same is happening to any Republicans that don't tow the Musk/Trump line
