The problem is they do not have a single signature win - they had their chances in a good OOC but couldn't get past Baylor, Louisville, or MissState, and also lost to St Johns. The RPI is 25 which is good, THE win is just not there. I would love for them to get a 7 seed as I think they could match up against a 2 seed quite well especially if they are healthy.

The win that USF is hanging their hat on was a blowout over Oklahoma State. Without that win, they might not even be in the tournament. But yeah, nobody wants an 8 seed.

another small play by Kia that never shows up: tips the ball, creates a turnover. What a follow by Kapheesa.

Not to be stupidly sentimental, but it's sad that a credible team like Tulane has to end its season like this. That's the cruelty about one-and-done time....

Lou missed a shot?!?!? Of course, she was completely hammered, but that's no excuse. I think she needs to change her shooting style. Or must have been that lay off this summer...or....or....

Lou's out: Geno's trying to keep her under her 21 point ceiling.

Agreed. My son stared laughing at the game and I told him Tulane is a promising young team. He looked incredulous. But it's true, the Green Wave is much improved.

I wouldn't want to be the Huskies when Geno gets hold of them at half-time. They missed a couple of shots, at least.

Even though our Huskies are blowing Tulane out, we are still playing solid basketball, for the most part. You watch some teams and when they are blowing teams out, the game gets a little sloppy. Players become selfish and the game gets out of hand. Our ladies are playing unselfish and still playing solid defense. Go, Huskies!!

Lou has only 2 rebounds. She's in big trouble. ;)

When you look at the "starting 6" this game, you have to say that they all got off the mark well (Stewie missed a few early, but what the heck). This was a formidable half!

Wow. Tulane is a much better team than they appear. That was a devastatingly good first half for UConn

People can ratchet back a little of that anxiety about next year.
I think it's been overdone by a lot! A huge key is Morgan, but Lou is playing as well as Stewie did 3 years ago. Napheesa shows tons of promise. Gabby is very good and improving. Kia is solid and a great defender. Natalie has had ups and downs, but will be better. Crystal will be an impact player early on. She's like Moriah and Courtney Williams. We may lose a small number of games and we may not win the championship next year, but I'm not ready to concede anything.

Milford's Law: When you outshoot the other guys by .400, you probably are going to win big.

It's now .655 to .240. Nice !!

We're doooomed! And the best part of it will be all the doomsayers...
