So do we know who's on the list?

I am still not really sure what they mean by this - is the list going to be public, sent to expansion schools, or just sent to Big 12 presidents?

One thing you gotta love is that with non-disclosure agreements supposedly signed..UC continues to strut like a peacock spouting off left and right. So much for NDA's..LMFAO

Source: Today (Monday) the Big 12 will announce they have narrowed down their list of teams they're considering. UC will be on the list.

Thanks to @Local12Jed for talking Big 12 Expansion & UC football. Report of Big 12 releasing list today came directly from UC administration

Agreed - Announcing they have narrowed down their list of teams they're considering and releasing a list are two separate things in my simple mind... but again, it is the Big12.

I would fully expect this to be a narrowing of the list from 20 interested to half dozen or so who were the realistic candidates.

Ironically I was thinking earlier just how much like a football recruitment this has sounded like.

This is what I want: the B12 schools and all the presidents to sit at a podium. They try the lame-o hat trick where they invite some schools, say UCF, USF, Tulane and Memphis, and then they quickly rip the hats off and replace them with Houston, BYU, Cincy and UConn. At that point, Bowlsby hands out a B12 hat to all the presidents, and just as the proceedings are about to end, the presidents of Oklahoma and Texas throw away their B12 hats and proudly wear Pac12 hats.

Doesn't look like that Big 12 info will be released publicly today, or tomorrow for that matter. Info I got was wrong, I was wrong.

Has Big 12 had conversations with schools independently letting them know they're still in the running? I'm not speculating on that.

So much for that... at least he was man enough to correct.

DiMauro hearing Yankee Stadium/MSG doubleheader v. Texas? hmm...

Not in September 2017...

He didn't specify the date, but I could have read it wrong. I went through his replies and he said "Texas has long noticed UConn's NY footprint" or something to that effect. Maybe Texas likes us after all.

What sparked that back and forth was UConn moving the Holy Cross game next year from 9/9 to 8/31, I guess one can leap to the conjecture to free up a late October/November date for a Stadium game. We also have Missouri @ home on 10/28 and BC on 11/19. Seems to be a reach..

... which may not absolutely rule out the possibility of re-jigging the 2017 schedule to include a latter season gridiron, early hoop season doubleheader with UT or other schools.

TCU has an open date that week.

It's hard to believe Texas would go on the road OOC late enough to play a game at Yankee Stadium.

LOL...

Yes, it's a joke and not from the Big12 Conference for non-Twitter folks.

YES!!! This was step one in my fake Bowlsby announcement scenario.....the next step is him sitting down with all those hats of the schools in from of him on national tv and putting on the hats of the schools he/Big 12 selects! I can't wait!!!

They don't want to play in the Northeast on a Thursday night in 27 degrees and a driving rain storm, so, no, they're not interested if it's late season.

This Texas in NYC metro area game is probably the "sorry but you're not getting into our league, so as a consolation prize you can have us in your backyard but it's our home game and we get 75% of the tickets and 98% of the revenue" game.

Its just Diaco. He decided the extra week would help Holy Cross more than UConn, so he pushed for a change. If not that, probably just making room to schedule Clarkson or Amherst.

Blauds says, Cincinnati, Houston, Connecticut, Memphis, Central Florida, South Florida plus a pair of unnamed AAC schools and then BYU are the current finalists.

I'm guessing ECU isn't going to be the first school to confirm they are no longer candidates for the Big 12 today.

Brett McMurhy is now tweeting what schools didn't make it. Mentioned East Carolina as one.
