DiMauro hearing Yankee Stadium/MSG doubleheader v. Texas? hmm...
Not in September 2017...
He didn't specify the date, but I could have read it wrong. I went through his replies and he said "Texas has long noticed UConn's NY footprint" or something to that effect. Maybe Texas likes us after all.
... which may not absolutely rule out the possibility of re-jigging the 2017 schedule to include a latter season gridiron, early hoop season doubleheader with UT or other schools. Not in September 2017...
TCU has an open date that week.... which may not absolutely rule out the possibility of re-jigging the 2017 schedule to include a latter season gridiron, early hoop season doubleheader with UT or other schools.
What sparked that back and forth was UConn moving the Holy Cross game next year from 9/9 to 8/31, I guess one can leap to the conjecture to free up a late October/November date for a Stadium game. We also have Missouri @ home on 10/28 and BC on 11/19. Seems to be a reach..
LOL...
Yes, it's a joke and not from the Big12 Conference for non-Twitter folks.
It's hard to believe Texas would go on the road OOC late enough to play a game at Yankee Stadium.
Texas already has UCF USCw and Maryland for 2017, so unless its a conference game I dont see it happening next yearIt could be windy and cold.
Mike D has thrown out the Texas/UConn games prop back in January so I believe he has heard whispers/desires but timing just seems off to me.

Blauds says, Cincinnati, Houston, Connecticut, Memphis, Central Florida, South Florida plus a pair of unnamed AAC schools and then BYU are the current finalists.
So two of SMU, Tulane and Temple. That's kind of tough to pick. I'd guess Tulane and Temple, (Temple for Philly and competency in MBB and Football and Tulane ?? academics, I guess) but I could see Texas pushing for two of the four being Texas schools.Brett McMurhy is now tweeting what schools didn't make it. Mentioned East Carolina as one.
If Blauds is right and it's down to 8 American schools and BYU, that's a serious kick in the sack to Colorado State and Boise State. Not that I thought they would be taken, but for them not even crack the the first round of this process is pretty amazing.
