Karoma is very athletic and physical and 6'8 or so. One of his strengths for this team is being a front court defender. He's a tough guy to guard, but we can also throw Koroma at him for nothing else but to use up 5 fouls and beat him up a little bit
not a chanceIs there a chance that Reibe would be ahead of Stewart if he were used at the 4 to spell Karaban?
I like, support and want every player on this team to do well. I’m not being critical of any player when I make my posts. I just don’t see what some see in both Stewart and Ross. I see improvement maybe more so in Ross than Stewart but that doesn’t mean I see prime time coming up. I also think that Ross has special athleticism but getting him to harness it is another story. I think that both kids will have their moments but as far as being integral rotation pieces, I don’t know. Hope so but I don’t know. I really like our guards play and having Ball, Demary, and Smith together on the court on occasion is fun for me to watch.I really haven't seen people dismissing Ross other than maybe Navery. People have said they want to see him play well in games, especially games against big time opponents (we haven't seen that in his career) because his athleticism on the wing is something this team could really benefit from...
We have "you know who" always saying he should start and that he's great defensively when the reality is he wasn't good defensively last season and Braylon was obviously our starter and will be our starter when he's healthy again. Of course there's going to be some pushback on that...
I personally think what Ross can bring if he plays well is more important than what Stewart can bring if he plays well for a couple of reasons. Ross is more athletic than Stewart and a plug and play wing off the bench who hopefully can shut down really tough perimeter assignments is an important thing for this team to have along with him being active and using his athleticism all over the court. Silas, Malachi, and Braylon are going to be really good defensively but they're not a legit 6'7 205 lbs...
Stewart has AK in front of him at what I think is Stewart's best position and Hurley rarely takes AK off the court. My hope is AK plays 29 minutes per game this season to always keep him fresh and Jaylin plays well enough in those replacement sf minutes where there isn't a huge drop off (Jaylin will get minutes at the three too.)
Both Jayden and Jaylin have to show consistency. The opportunity is there with Braylon out just like it was there last season with Liam out.
1) I agree. Stewart's engagement and energy levels have been high and consistent despite the lack of production. This negative Stewart stuff is not data driven. On our team YTD, he is second per game in assists (3.3) and third in rebounds (4.0). He is in the middle of the pack with 8 points per game, but is shooting 53% FG and 75% FT.
I agree front court depth against a team with 2-3 good Bigs will be our weakness, if Reed picks up early fouls and if Reibe develops slowly.
I get it, small sample against weak opponents but it is real game numbers.
More harsh words on JS from our cutie pie Greg
They are all a bunch of clowns. These guys really looove UConn. Lol
Why do these guys have a following? Saying we don’t have enough bench. 🤪
They push out a ton of college hoops content, keep it colorful. Greg and the other guy here have a pretty good handle on the landscape. These guys really looove UConn. Lol

The guy on the left barely speaks. And seems to just be a sounding board for the other guy. Not a fan. They push out a ton of college hoops content, keep it colorful. Greg and the other guy here have a pretty good handle on the landscape.
I don’t think Greg is anti UConn.
I wouldn’t call him a hater but he’s had more uconn critical takes than not over the last 4 years. They do put out a lot of content, so credit there. They push out a ton of college hoops content, keep it colorful. Greg and the other guy here have a pretty good handle on the landscape.

I'd say he's fairly objective - he doesn't love or hate Uconn, loves Hurley because he provides a ton of content. I enjoy objectivity, which is hard to come by here sometimes.I wouldn’t call him a hater but he’s had more uconn critical takes than not over the last 4 years. One guy said Hurley needs to stop selling books and get back to the gym and work.
He played 4 minutes and 16 seconds, was 1 of 2 from the field, had 3 rebounds (all defensive) and got scored over once.depending on if Reibe isn't showing enough (he had a rough game) and that means we're pretty damn talented.

Here's his time on the court. Not sure you can call it a rough game. Just limited use. Mostly because Reed was really on his game.

Safe to say, he played in limited minutes because Hurley knows he's not ready for more if we want to beat top teams. Hopefully confidence develops over the course of the year, it should. Tarris probably can't be counted on to play 33 minutes/game. The good news is the BE stinks, so we just need to get through December. The one benefit of a bad BE is we should be able to afford more playing time to some of the youngens during in season games. He played 4 minutes and 16 seconds, was 1 of 2 from the field, had 3 rebounds (all defensive) and got scored over once.
