Colorado State is expected to make UConn coach Jim Mora the school’s next head coach.

Folks over @StorrsCentral relating the opposite - the investment in NIL will be higher next year and it wasn’t a secret in the building. This was a lifestyle move.
What is @StorrsCentral supposed to say “We lost.” They need to craft the narrative. That is what PR does even if the house is burning down.

He blocked me, for instance. I have never tweeted a negative thing to him. Not once.
At the end Jim Mora used UConn to get a job back near Idaho. But UConn got a coach that gave them a decent football team again. Now Mora wants to leave UConn behind. Let’s concentrate on finding the next head football coach. We need to get players to stay and still attract players to UConn via portal or next year will not be pretty.

I was wondering if that is really his account because there are a number of negative posts there. Using an artificial photo is strange though. He also posted a pic of the football stadium as his banner.

UConn's AD should be fired. Period. Why are we not in a Power conference by now, with all the success of UConn's basketball, baseball, and recently football teams?? We should be in the ACC by now. UConn can't survive for long without Conference money. Anyone could see this coming for the last several years. This is turning into a disaster for all UConn stakeholders involved.
Indy sounds like a dope. Really stupid post

"I would like to thank President Amy Parsons, Director of Athletics John Weber, and all those involved for providing Kathy and me this very special opportunity," Mora said. "I am truly humbled to join CSU as we transition to the Pac-12 Conference. I am excited to meet the team and look forward to connecting with the former players. I can't wait for our family to become part of the Northern Colorado community."

"Mora will be publicly introduced on Monday, December 1 at 3:00 p.m. in the Stadium Club (Fourth floor) at Canvas Stadium. Colorado State fans are encouraged to attend."

Thank you

I no longer care about Jim Mora, he chose to leave, for Colorado State no less. He could of stayed and built a legacy of a lifetime, Colorado State!!!!!!!!
It really is very, very difficult to understand with regards to the dark of night departure to CSU. He could get a job similar to that anytime. Why now? WTH happened?

Why isn't UConn making a statement?? This is a disaster due to it being very unexpected. If you were a recruit, you definitely would be reconsidering your choice.

Agreed. If he wants to move on, so be it. But the way it all went down just doesn't sit right with me.

I think there are a lot of questions that will never get satisfactory answers.

He isn't going to say anything for 6 days? Pathetic!

This is college football and coaches leave all of the time. Think about this. Instead of paying a coach to leave due to poor performance, UConn is getting paid for the coach to leave! because he was successful! This is what all of us want - a coach that succeeded at UConn so other colleges are interested in hiring him.

Fiery hot take: If I’m AD David Benedict, I’m throwing as much as I can to secure a good future for football next season. The margin for error with UConn football is at 0, and we cannot afford to make a lame hire that will throw us back into the basement. There’s simply no time or redemption for that.

And if that conflicts a bit with basketball for one season, I’ll take it as long as Geno and Hurley don’t outright suffer, I know they’ll be fine and I’m not advocating for any full sacrifices. Just in the short-term, we need to keep football on track NOW.

If Mora is going to leave, I'm fine with it being right now. That gives UConn more time to nail down a replacement and start recruiting. A lot of schools aren't even done with their regular seasons yet, so it's a head start. Sure, it would be nice to win our bowl game, but it's not like we'll be playing for a championship. We're all about the long-term goals right now.

Yet still the overall athletic department is in the third tier.
I am curious, why do you say that? Both hockey teams are doing great. Field hockey, baseball, other sports? I don't think 3rd tier is accurate. FB is clearly 2nd tier, but that fact is almost immaterial.
