Dallas is BAD -- not going to win many games when two starters (both from Tennessee of course:rolleyes:) combine for 0 points.
Dallas is two different teams. A decent team at home (8-6) and an awful team on the road (1-13).

Pheesa was +13, while Arike was -19.
Pheesa is the better player, but the league rewards scoring, so I don’t expect her to win ROY. On the bright side, Pheesa is the only current rookie with a chance of playing in Tokyo next year.

Let's also not forget the college player of the year gustafson barely got into the game and no points just a couple rebounds.......

I've long held Collier is the ROY, but comparing the two, even in a game they play against each other, is nearly impossible since they play two very different positions for two very different teams. As an example, Kaela Davis is probably Dallas's best bench player. Last night, Seimone Augustus came off the bench for Minnesota.

Actually, Seimone did not have a good game and Davis had a strong game off the bench.

This particular game was actually about as ideal as possible to see and contrast the strengths and weaknesses of both players. It depends on what each individual fan / analyst appreciates more.

Yeah my point was not about the specific game per say, but an indication of the talent differential between the teams, where MN has an Olympian (past her prime yes, but still) coming of the bench, and Dallas' best bench player averages 6ppg on 32% FG shooting.

In the post-game presser, Reeve said that Augustus had a medical procedure to drain her knee yesterday. Also that she assumes Simone is not available to play unless Simone explicitly lets her know on game day. It sounds like she's still a long ways from recovered from her injury.

I really liked Davis in this game; she got a lot done in her 17 minutes.

Wow, that’s not good news. She really hasn’t looked like herself the last couple of games.

I adore Napheesa, always have, since that moment in her rookie year when she woke up a sleepy offense in Bridgeport during an early round of the NCAA's with a bunch of unexpected hoops.

But having said that, I also think that she is one of the most boring interviewees around...always says the right thing, but no real flair ...insight?

You mean Derek jeter did for 20 years I’ll take that for Napheesa

Meh even as a rookie she acts like a veteran on and off the court.

Once you get acclimated to the weird background noise (at the Minnesota State Fair), I think you might find this to be a surprisingly interesting interview with good questions asked. It’s the #6 pick in the 2019 WNBA draft being interviewed along with the #6 pick in the 2019 NBA draft, Jarrett Culver.

Even more impressive since Pheesa did not have play that well (for her)in the 2 games against the Aces earlier in the year.

And in one of her first driving moves of the game which was very aggressive, she got blocked (Wilson I think) but did not let it affect her.

11'th straight game pheesa in double figures.

A few quotes dribbling out after the Aces game

Danielle Robinson leads Lynx past first-place Las Vegas

For the first time in 13 outings, all five Lynx starters scored in double digits, including Napheesa Collier, who had 23 points, six rebounds, four assists, three blocks and two steals.

“She certainly continues to build her case for best rookie in the class,” said coach Cheryl Reeve.
