The problem with Sparks for Lou is that she might cost her sister a job. She has Gabby in Chicago and it's a team on the build. Minnesota is a good fit for Pheesa and if I were her father, more likely grandfather, the distance to Mpls is short enough to drive (I live in the west--Colorado--so our definition of a short drive might not match yours). Lou's dad may rack of frequent flyer miles.

I had no idea there were only four returning players:

Normally, the Lynx roster is one of the hardest rosters in the league to make for rookies and free agents. With only 4 returning players in camp, there's plenty of openings this year. A lot easier than in years past. We know that Collier, Lexie Brown and Shepard are keepers. I don't believe Reeve will be able to keep Collier on the bench for long periods of time.

“This is the most new-ness we’ve had since my first camp in 2010… There’s going to be a lot more teaching,” Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve said after practice. “Things that were just a well-oiled machine, I could say something and people knew what I was talking about, this group has no clue.”

I can't wait to see how Collier performs in her first regular season game on May 25 vs the Sky. 14/8 would not surprise me.

My take was the ones she knows already include (some of) the players who haven't arrived back yet, and already include her 1st, and probably 2nd, round draft pick.

Goven her size, I figured they would move her to perimeter and hope she can adjust. At UConn she had trouble shooting from beyond 8 feet. But if anyone can do it...

She shot over 40% from three a couple of years ago, dunno how that translates to had trouble shooting beyond 8 feet. She had trouble from three at the beginning of this year, but was pretty decent toward the end of the year. And her turnaround up to about 15-16 is deadly.
