Asia Durr has had excellent games 3 of the last 4. She is really getting comfortable in the WNBA and will challenge for ROY imho.

Look at those FG% for all the Notre Dame players. Yikes.

How 'bout Kennedy Burke? From cut in training camp to being one of the best and at this point most efficient rookies.
2 Irish under 40%, 2 others under 30%. Yikes!

I liked what I saw of Kennedy Burke last season. She may be a 'tweener, but she's athletic and has a shot.

Liberty up 25-24 end of Q1. Kia & Pheesa getting lotsa chat from the announcers (“The coaches say those UConn players understand how to play basketball.” “Napheesa says she doesn’t really like playing against Kia.” Etc)

Kia Nurse is #7 in the WNBA in scoring (ppg), just ahead of EDD and A'ja Wilson. Damn!
I think at UConn Kia deferred to Stewart and Mojeff until she torched them in the Canada vs US game a few years ago. But to be honest, Kia is getting so much better now and is a real offensive threat!!! Tina and Phessa are a joy to watch. There is some magic UConn at work here. With the BE move, may be BB will get more exposure.

Nice write up

Sylvia Fowles Leads The Way As Lynx Snap Skid - Minnesota Lynx

Collier Blurbs

Fowles set the tone on Saturday, but Napheesa Collier and Odyssey Sims refused to be outdone. Both put together extremely productive and, importantly, efficient games. Sims had 20 (60-percent shooting) and Collier had 19 (70-percent shooting). Collier also just narrowly missed out on what would have been her first career double-double with nine rebounds and tacked on four steals.

We got a glimpse into Reeve’s ideal version of Minnesota’s offense in the third quarter when the Lynx were absolutely cooking. They scored 28 points in the period behind a dominant inside-out game between Fowles and Sims and Collier’s intelligent cutting paired with her excellent floor spacing. Additionally, while Danielle Robinson’s totals don’t jump off the page, she was very good pushing the pace in transition. She finished with 10 points and four assists and was a team-high plus 15. She also picked up career assist No. 1,000.

There were times during the game that Napheesa was guarding Tina. Pretty much shut her down during those sequences.

Another good game for Collier. View attachment 44182

The Lynx are getting their money’s worth out of Collier. She played 38 minutes tonight. That speaks as to her value to the team, and how much her coach values her presence on the floor. No surprise that she’s been a starter from day one.

Having her rookie year behind her, and a season of European basketball under her belt, I look for Collier to put up better numbers across the board in year two.
