College officiating/go to quarters

Agreed. One of my complaints is that they focus too much on hands. I see meaningless touch fouls called all the time. Yet Gilbert can drive and get hip checked and there is no call. So much body contact goes uncalled while dramatically affecting play. Meanwhile hands on defense are called aggressively, yet offensive guards get away with a ton of push offs. It's totally out of balance right now.

I agree very much with your last argument. It’s the same way with OPI vs DPI in football. They occur in almost equal amounts but only one is frequently called.

the key to body contact is the defender has legal guarding position. And if he’s moving backwards he’s going to get a lot more latitude than if he’s moving in any forward direction or even laterally.

Have a review of officials. Everyone gets graded. The worst 10% of f*s get fired each year. I'm sure we'll see a quantum step or 2 in quality.
