Toure is 6'4.5 barefoot, it's difficult to tell height in pictures but Landrew is clearly at least an inch taller than Toure from the pictures I've seen.Mamadpu is standing behind him and is more like 6'6 despite what he was listed at. Kimani is 6'4. That 6'6 measurement is probably right.
You know, the guy who committed to Prov......oh, waitAbdou Toure who?
Physically, he's on track to be similar to Jermaine Samuels.I just watched a couple minutes of highlights. He looks like a Jay Wright Villanova guard. Plays mostly below the rim, but just try to stop him from making a layup once his hips are even with the defender.
A more nimble Jeff Adrien?Physically, he's on track to be similar to Jermaine Samuels.
FWIW Providence pivoted quickly and got a good one.You know, the guy who committed to Prov......oh, wait

Mingo said he's committing towards the end of the early signing period which is November 12-19It can still happen. It might take a very successful season where UConn has three kids go in the first round to clear minutes. Kids like Mingo will commonly wait until the spring to commit to see how rosters will shake out for the coming season.
That’s interesting and somewhat surprising. Maybe this could end up being a decommit scenario I guess time will tell.Mingo said he's committing towards the end of the early signing period which is November 12-19
And, legally, he isn't allowed to change his mind. I think it's a state law only, thoughMingo said he's committing towards the end of the early signing period which is November 12-19
Or maybe not.Mingo said he's committing towards the end of the early signing period which is November 12-19
Adrien wound up at 6’7 245. Landrew describes himself as a big wing which is good because he’s below average height for a PF in the nba. no need to bulk up that much. 6’6 230 max.A more nimble Jeff Adrien?
Ill be just as excited for a starting lineup with a senior Ball instead of soph MullinsMan this is just perfect. Hurley is clearly evolving, this kid checks every freakin box. I do think Mullins is one and done but can you imagine a line up with Demary, Mullins and Landrew as the starting guards/wings.
If that were to happen then I could the JStew could slot in nicely at the four with Reibe at center.
Anyway nice to dream cuz I just don’t see a way that Mullins is not one and done. It was only one scrimmage but you can see how good he is.
In the other thread, he was compared to Caron. Reading this breakdown on Colben, wow! For those who saw Caron play, you'd understand why.“Colben is a super skilled and very versatile wing/forward. Can really guard 4 positions and is an excellent rebounder on both sides of the ball. His physical strength and shooting abilities is what separates him from your typical college freshman,” Wheeler assistant Larry Thompson told ZAGSBLOG. “He is a high volume shot maker with a ton of range on his jumper and is able to absorb contact in the paint when driving the ball to the basket. Elite passer and super unselfish! Will be ready to compete from day 1 when he steps on campus.”

Four-star Colben Landrew commits to UConn: 'Will be ready to compete from Day 1' | Zagsblog

Who are those 8th graders standing next to himI've seen this kid listed at 6'6 and even 6'5, he's gotta be 6'6 barefoot. Caron may be the best comparison out of our former players in terms of game and size. Not saying he'll be as good as Caron but I have a good feeling about this kid. Great build, ball skills, shot maker with a nice three point shot, great hands, good rebounder, football mentality, can play guard and forward.

Not very much in common with Adrien other than height and being good at rebounding. The Caron comp is much closer.A more nimble Jeff Adrien?
All I am saying is that he is still in play. Would it be great to get him, absolutely. That would be an incoming class of 3 frosh. I don’t think Hurley wants more than 3. If we don’t get him then it is portal time. Why do you say that? Not so sure about that happening now. If he doesn't commit until the spring and UConn has needs then maybe they pick this back up.
And what he's saying is that Dan Hurley doesn't want more than 2 freshmen, so we're doneAll I am saying is that he is still in play. Would it be great to get him, absolutely. On top of the tea leaves in the Mingo thread. @GHSWolverines, if you haven't read that thread the last 2 days you should check it out. See my last 2 posts in the thread. Sometimes you can't trust these articles but everything is pointing to UConn moving on from Mingo. But as always, things could change as I mentioned above. And what he's saying is that Dan Hurley doesn't want more than 2 freshmen, so we're done
