Coaches on the hot seat

Then: Agreed that Randy had to go because that was the program's ceiling with him at the helm.
Now: Eight wins is looking pretty damn good.

To be completely fair, if things fell into place, Randy's ceiling may well have reached nine wins.

Kiffin has failed at three separate places, spectacularly. No thanks.

the WA coach is not on the hot seat, and we're not in the Big East either

out of the coaches on the hot seat that may lose their job this year, who would you like Warde to hire "IF" PP gets fired by the end of the year?

None of them!!! Looking at their winning percentage -- NOT AS GOOD AS PP!! I'd try to get someone like an assistant from a name school -- like OSU, Florida, FSU or Bama. Lets do something Warde!!

.-.
Obviously early, but here are some realistic HC candidates that I think UConn should look at:

Pat Narduzzi - Michigan State DC
Bob Diaco - Notre Dame DC
Matt Campbell - Toledo HC
Dave Clawson - Bowling Green HC
Bill Blankenship - Tulsa HC
Craig Bohl - ND State HC

Garrick McGee. Should have hired him the last time.

I was in that corner as well in 2011 but he has 3wins 10 losses @ UAB so far. Not exactly lighting up the world (and yes, I know neither is PP but that is not question).

I see what your saying medic, but we had/have a lot more talent here at Uconn than UAB.

At UAB, compared to the talent we had and the comparative platforms from which to build. I would take my changes with Coach McGee.

Bo Pelini at Nebraska is on the hot seat as well. Fans growing tired of his teams getting blown up on D.

Also wouldn't mind looking at Turner Gill.

I'll pass on Gill. He flopped at Kansas, a similar bball first school like UConn. If he couldn't get that program going, then he isn't about to get UConn going. I know he wouldn't be playing anyone on par with 1/3 of the Big-12 but there'd still be stiffer competition. He was a hot name, got his shot, and was fired after 2 years I believe? That's never a good thing.

Doesn't matter. He has the hottest wife of any college football coach, and I wouldn't mind seeing her hangin around at The Rent!
Why not just hire a hot chick to coach our OL? Win-win. Probably better results than what we have now.

I would go with either Larry Johnson's father from Penn State if he would ever leave or Mike Locksley Maryland. This guys can recruit anybody, Locksley has Head coaching experience and has been named a top 25 recruiter for years. He's also much younger and would hurt RE so why not.

Interesting list for vetting.

Narduzzi was born in New Haven when his dad Bill was DC @ Yale w/ Carm Cozza .
