No one could stop Russell. Most under rated player ever. He could change a game with his defense. But people forget his offense was good as well

He was great at many things, but scoring wasn't one of them. In a league without limited athleticism in the paint, he was a career 44% FG shooter. Any great post player should shoot at least 50%. In 49 Playoff Games against Mr. Chamberlain, Mr. Russell averaged 15, 23, and 5 on 42% shooting. Mr Chamberlain averaged 26, 28, and 4 on 51% shooting.

The only player that would have been able to stop Russell is The Chief himself, Robert Parish. But alas they were a decade apart and would have played on the same team.
