A few weeks ago, Joanne P. McCallie experienced the other side of recruiting, like so many of the parents of players she’s recruited over the years.
The McCallie family took its 17-year-old daughter Maddie to Oxford, Ohio, to drop her off for college. Maddie accepted a women’s basketball scholarship to play for the Miami Redhawks and recently began summer classes and training.
