I feel like coaches are coming up with excuses to downplay loses. Boeheim gets a T, Cronin's comments about last Saturday, and Coach K fainting. I know he's fainted before, but Christ man, get it together.

I get dizzy when I'm cheering too loudly at the games sometimes...

Maybe he just needed a hug

He's not a young man. Maybe he was, you know, sick.

We had a coach for a while that had many stomach ailments especially as he grew older. I know we tend to not really want to hug Coach K from our standpoint but maybe we should give him a pass on this one.

Maybe he got dizzy near the end when WF was flying up the court alley ooping his Dukies to death? Not for us to say…….give him his due

Coach K has always been the king of this kind of BS. What year was it that he took basically the whole year off to have back surgery? It was almost definitely the year they were projected to have their worst year, they had just lost a lot and he knew they werent competitors, so what does he do? oh take the year off, wait til the roster is fully reloaded with McD's All Am's

And then dump all the following losses on the assistant coaches record.

Man, JC was missing games all the time in his later years. It's called getting older.

Most likely his trainers and handlers had him checked out at the hospital to be safe (which you do with a multi million dollar head coach). I doubt he came out and said, "I need to go to the hospital".

I wonder how many DUKE fans went to the hospital for being light headed street that loss.

Generally, when a Duke coach appears to be getting light headed, swoons, and then appears to pass out, it's simply a demonstration of how to draw a charge in the absence of physical contact with offensive player.

He heard there was a sale on cheese after the game and needed to be excused...
