I found those personal reasons all the more reason to appreciate and like Donovan. You can't help but root for him. Never thought he needed prep school to succeed, and I think he's proven that as well. It might have made him more prepared for his first season in college, but that's not really important given his situation.
I hope he comes to UConn, and I am sure he will be embraced warmly by UConn fans if he does.
Totally understand why he wants to stay at BCHS. Can’t imagine losing your mom at such an early age, who wouldn’t want to stay close to home. With that said, haven’t relistened to the podcast, he and his coach said that Clingan would consider playing for a prep school at the end of his Junior year if needed. He already had his scholarships lined up; I think he’ll stay at BCHS for his senior year while continuing his participation with the AAU and camps.
