In years past, we’ve discussed other top ranked teams and Big East teams on the UConn side during or approaching the post season but since rankings and seedings (2 different things) were pretty static in past years, there wasn’t much chatter on the UConn side. Not so this year. It’s been an exciting roller coaster season and it’s pretty obvious that the football term “any given day”, meaning that upsets can happen when the stars align for some teams, can now be applied to women’s hoops. There are no more invulnerable-seeming teams and taking one’s opponent lightly can spell disaster.
What this means for the Boneyarders is that threads about other teams might pop up on the UConn side from time to time in the post-season, or almost-post-season. This has always happened here; it’s nothing new. Just a reminder that this is a post-season allowance - next Fall news about other teams will be discussed on the General board.
