Christyn Signs with Dallas

Tonight's game against Atlanta will be "problematical" to say the least.

According to the ESPN WNBA injury report, Geiselsoder, Arike, Quinerly, and Yueru are all out, and Jones and James doubtful. Bueckers questionable.

That leaves Berger, Sundell, Hines-Allen, Seigrist, and Miller.

And now Christyn.

What a mess. This season can't end soon enough for Dallas.

At least a few players like Berger, Sundell and Christyn are getting an opportunity to play in the WNBA and show what they can do.
 
I hope shes fully recovered i remembered the days i thought she could be the next Tip hayes ! Welcome to Wing city !
 
I'm looking to see how CW moves without the ball. For me, that will tell the story if she has developed her game since college.

Let's hope so! Christyn just turned 25 in May, so she is still in the early stages of her career. She has put in a tremendous amount of work to recover from her ACL injury, and she certainly possesses WNBA-level talent. I hope the stars align for her this time to stick with the team to the end of the season and beyond.
 
I was going back and forth between the Wings game and US Open and at one point see what seemed to be a familiar face. Is that Squeaks? And if so why in heck is she in a Wings game? Saw the name on the uniform which confirmed my sighting and a quick Google search filled in the details. It's really nice to see her back playing in the W. Even better if she plays out what's left of this season and is on someone's roster next year

Nice game by Siegrist. She's taking advantage of the extra minutes she's getting.

Paige, of course is Paige, dishing 10 dimes to go along with 16 points in 30 minutes.

Look for Christyn to adjust to the speed and physicality of the game. Remember, this is her introduction to WNBA level basketball. We've heard time and time again the speed and physicality of it is a big adjustment.
 
Christyn still needs a little work on her helpside defense and knowing where man and ball are . Her rim aggression is unmatched though !

Sadly, CW is no longer on the Wings roster. She was dropped for a rookie forward/center Petty from tOSU.

Apparently time for try outs (Tree Outs if you are a longest yard fan) for next year with Dallas...😎😎😎

Nah, she's still there.
 
With injuries, Dallas in need of hardship contracted players like CW. She signed a seven-day hardship contract on 8/29 and signed another one afterwards. She is available for tonight's game at the Valkyries
 
The WNBA Transactions page is a little confusing. For example if a player signs a second 7 day contract, there will also be a transaction showing they have been released.

An interim step between the two contracts, but not always easy to follow.
