Christyn headed to Italy

Don't know if you watched any of these games, but the American team was bad-- not sure if they can play defense. CW is clearly not a defensive wizard. The Uconn coaches must have used a huge canopy to hide those skill sets from opposing teams/players. Nothing like a little summer bb, outdoors, to expose you. Quite puzzling about these 3x3-- who is doing the picking? Beyond the travelling experiences (great I imagine), are there things to be had from a bb perspective?

I watched the Italy game and agree that US defense was less than stellar. To some degree I think it’s the nature of 3x3. As for Christyn, I think she became a pretty solid defender for UConn the 2nd half of the season, and will be very good in the years to come.

France beat Italy for the title. Italy has former Wisconsin player Raelin D'Alie, who is basically a 3x3 specialist who also plays professionally in the second division in Italy.
