It probably doesn't help that he has been fired twice in about a year and both places were dumpster fires.

I could see USF at the minimum but ECU
Thought for sure he would hook up with a P5 but MAYBE he has some possible question marks concerning past recruitment and folks are running scared due to sanctions etc
Just doesn't make sense - and people thought he would have problems bring player to Storrs - ECU? (granted the weather is nicer - that's about it)
I know folks will say he sucked because he didn't bring anything to UConn but the guy does have a track record and connections.

Could see it working a little. Very near to his best recruiting area, at a party school half an hour from the beach. Good addition for Dooley nonetheless.

I think most of his top recruits were from Washington. Don't know how those connects will translate over to East Carolina... Only guy he was able to get to UConn was Matthews Jr, granted he only had one year to recruit and UConn was struggling, but really don't see him pulling much at East Carolina.

I’m not sure exactly what Chillious brings to the table, good or bad, but he can recruit. I’m certain he isn’t to blame for the dumpster fires at his last two jobs. UConn’s issues had nothing to do with him, that’s for sure.

He is a known recruiting specialist. ECU seems like a step below what I expected. That said, Joe Dooley teaches good defense and hard work. Chill should help him get some talent down there and I’d expect they’ll improve over the next few years. I don’t think Dooley is a great coach, but he’s solid and he can identify talent well enough to compete at any school. Chillious should help Dooley recruit at a little higher level than he would without him.

I’d choose the URI job in a heartbeat over ECU, but that’s just me. I like the proximity to the New England prep league and the big cities. URI should lure decent talent and be top 3 in the league most years with a good coach.

Since Chill knows New England I prefer him not being at a school in our back yard.

As far as the programs go ECU probably has a stronger fan base. If they elevate their B.B. the fans in that area will support them.

Or you know, maybe he isn’t all that good. His rep was kind of built on one guy st Washington. Plus recruiting assistants are inevitably overrated. Nobody is going to ECU to play for Chillious.
