You think a shot being ruled on time that got overturned is an anti-Hurley thing?
That was not a close call, the ball was still well within his hand. What I said, if you bothered to read, rather than engaging in name calling, is that certain Big East officials have an instinct to make calls in favor of our opponents. Our two conferences loses had a 63-30 FTA disadvantage. Even last Wednesday they had 54% more FTA’s.
The other two review reversals also included Hurley’s appeal and an obvious flagrant foul that wasn’t called. So it’s fair to say there’s a legitimate concern that the initial call (even at home) seems to have an impulse (subconscious or conscious) to go against UConn.
True, we make dumb fouls and I have also said the high hedge creates Defenders in mismatches in poor position to block shots, defend drives, or rebound. But, we are also grabbed multiple times each possession running our halfcourt offense.
But Wednesday, we had a 42 to 12 points in the paint advantage, yet they still shot 54% more foul shot attempts. So the same folks, that have blamed it on taking more 3 point shots rather than paint points, come up empty on logic.
Another misrepresentation by the usual crew of distorters was that I was over emphasizing reffing this game. In fact, reffing was only in one (1) of twelve (12) paragraphs of game insights and I included it because of the results of three reviews all going in our favor and our 350% points in the paints advantage yet 54% less PTAs.
