We have these rotations and regardless of how a player plays we stick to them. That has got to change. It is also tough to beat teams when you turn the ball over much more than your opponent. Turnover tonight 18 for UConn and 9 for Hall.

A fellow poster displayed some data that showed Sanogo gets fouled 1 of 20 attempts in the paint. That is outrageous and continued tonight.

True he could use some better sell techniques but he often gets fouled and no whistle by the Big East officials, who have been a disaster this season under a very weak commissioner. When Sanogo misses a post shot, there is no one in the zip code to rebound without a Double Big.

First half, 3 foul shots for UConn and 10 for Setan Hall. With 7 minutes left in the game 8 foul shots for UConn and 18 for Hall. For the game short end of 14 to 25.

Hawkins, Sanogo, Clingan, Jackson and Karaban are our 5 best players and it is a no brainer they should be our starting line-up. Time is running out for our coaching staff to recognize this. How much more evidence do they need that the current approach is not working?

Having said that, I liked Diarra game tonight. He can break the defense down off the dribble, but needs to improve his FT %.

But where did our ball movement go? And there’s a big price to pay without having a double big for the rebound at the end,

Diarra wasn't good at all tonight.

Haven’t felt like this since the horrible Ollie days and first season of Hurley. I’m about to puke.

Brando called the game winner during last TO. Said Hall should just shoot and get am O rebound put back for the win.

so many concerning things tonight... again not getting whistles hurts badly, however unforced turnovers need to stop... 4-5 time we stepped out of bounds in one game. Hawkins no show , Jackson Sonogo no show in 2nd half. lack of ball handler , Joey C useless off the bench , Newton Just not a good point guard

Diarra wasn't good tonight. I do agree the only hope for this team is to play both DC and Sanogo together. And we need to play zone. this team can't guard

I'm all for this Chief. The starting lineup you outline is clear as day. Some posters here don't get it.

And can't agree with you more on the refs. It's gotten to a point where I'm fine being that guy to "blame" the refs. It's absolutely outrageous. There's gotta be some more good objective data out there that corroborates this.

You have a point, I guess I was comparing the other two options off the bench given current rotations, Even then a flip of the coin.

Well, Alleyne did nothing tonight. Joey C had a few boards, a nice drop to Clingan and a 3. So that is a start back towards the good Joey.

Unforced stepping out of bounds relates to a lack of game focus and awareness. Chief calling it what it is. Guys got to get their minds in the game.

I agree it’s time to just play the best 5 and see what happens.

Newton, Calcaterra, Alleyne, Diarra are equally unplayable for at least half of the time they’re out there. There’s no positional substitutions that are working. Play the best 5 and see if it works. If not, go back to whatever it is we’re doing now

Our guards couldn’t handle Richmond and Karaban and Jackson couldn’t handle Ndefo. On offense, please please let the AJ point forward experiment come to an end after this season. Road Runner is great for energy but he isn’t a floor general.

This has to be one of the most disappointing disappearing acts of a team in Uconn history. Loss after loss after loss

Its so depressing and embarrassing to be a Uconn Husky fan right now.
We still have time to turn the ship around but double big needs to start next game and in the starting lineup.

Nothing against Luke but why is he effectively the head coach in practice tonight with Tom there?

Missed layups, 18 turnovers, constant defensive breakdowns…….and are complaints are about officiating?

Laughable.
It sucked for both teams.

Sanogo was ATROCIOUS the second half, and it’s becoming a trend now. He looks like an out of shape 55 year old man out there that can’t get off the floor.

Gotta drive the ball to draw fouls to go to the FT line…everyone on this team is afraid of contact and refuses to do this except 1-3 times a game when, would you believe it or not, good things typically happen

The thing that the team cannot control is the luxury of relying on their best players of Jackson, Hawkins and Sanogo to stop the momentum of the opponent and to make the critical plays that have to be made when the games tighten up and at crunch time.

This has been exposed in all of their losses. The opponents best players are stepping up and making plays. Our best players have lacked the ability to consistently execute the offense and defense when needed.

All of the remaining options around different line ups, defensive strategies and forcing the officials to call more fouls is secondary and more peripheral.

Our best players have to make plays and be trusted to execute at a high level. This is not happening and they will need to learn. Unfortunately this learning process cannot be rushed and has to occur naturally. Hawkins is not there yet. Jackson is in a new role still learning. Sanogo has never really demonstrated the ability to close out competitive games consistently. It starts and ends with these 3 guys. There is no other way I can put it. They were punched in the mouth several times in the second half and failed to respond adequately on the road. The Big East smells blood. We are still waiting for our Huskies to respond.

I can't even pin it just on the guards. It was an absolute implosion.

It's like they took sleeping pills at the half or the speech from the coaches was, "we got this. Go into full cruise control boys."

I get it...I'm angry...we are too talented for this...and ill calm down tomorrow...but give me a flin flam break already.

Maybe I am answering your point - why isn’t Clingan included in our best players? Well, he’s not in our starting line/up either as he should be!

It was the turnovers. Lots of them on terrible passes into the teeth of defense. We were very lax with the ball in the second half. It robbed us of numerous possessions.

18 turnovers to SHU 9.
I recall Jackson turn the ball over on passes three times..

When Clingan was in it seemed it was for a minute or two.
