Not a bad first half, considering...

Greetings from 39,000 ft. I'm on my way home from Thanksgiving in So. Cal. Go Huskies!

Don't you love in-flight Internet access?

Our kids doing a nice job in the post, and also in denying the entry passes. Didn't start out as strongly, but better as the half progressed.

.-.
Super-sophs are doing it again, and Gabby filling out all the categories.

Geno seemed relaxed in the 1/2 time interview, but I thought the D was out of synch--guess that's why I'm not the coach, huh?

Well, considering they gave up 12 points in the first 5 minutes, the fact that they ended the half with only 31 is pretty good.

Anyone catch the Kia interview at half time? SNY audio is messed up on Cablevision.

You see? I told you I'm not a coach! :-)

Seriously, even though UConn held the score down after that, I still thought they weren't in synch. Just looked ragged to me.

Thought Chong played well - Lou missed a lot of bunnies, but at least Bent cleaned up one of them.
I think the defensive chaos is a little bit intentional - get the Mocs playing faster than they want.
The super sophs are just that - super.
Butler with some nice minutes and Bent was fine as well.

KLS starting to remind me of an old celtic. And I'm not a celtic fan. Must have watched some film over holiday.

Mare than 1/2 the Mocs points from 3. If we work harder defending those they'll be forced to work it inside where we can block it or turn it over.

Giving Saniya some credit here for her game to this point. She's taken good care of the ball and looked for her shot. I'd like to see her control the game a bit better but the Huskies are taking advantage of the disorganization so it's all good.

Chat opens the half with another 3, 43-33

That was a 2. A tough contested midrange jumper. That's the kind of shot we want them to have to take.

After a somewhat ragged 1st half, nice to see them coming out with some changes and improvements. One concern this year has been the seemingly lack of adjustments in the start of the 2nd half... Nice to see them doing better!!
