Dieng is their best in literally 30 years. It's incredible that they haven't put more talent into the league, given how good a program they are.

They are a great program, but in all honesty, who have been their stud prospects in that time frame? I mean their recent championship team was built on two small guards and Hancock briefly becoming a stud... Samardo Samuels was a big time recruit, but declared too early. Earl Clark too. Francisco Garcia is probably their best pro in the last 20 years and has had a long career, but he wasn't a huge recruit coming in. I guess if you go back the full 30 years you can throw Ellison in there who was the #1 pick and had two good years before injuries and everything else caught up to him. Am I forgetting other guys?

You're not forgetting anyone. Louisville went a long stretch during their CUSA days without a drafted player: http://basketball.realgm.com/ncaa/conferences/Conference-USA/9/Louisville/67/nba-players

Terrance Williams actually looked intriguing in his limited time with the Celtics, but hasn't caught on anywhere since.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Terrance Williams... I always thought he was going to be a good pro.

So Louisville has had 7 players drafted since the turn of the century. Uconn has had 19...

nuff said.

But only five under the time Ollie has been a coach at UConn (Kemba, Lamb, Drummond, Daniels, Napier).

Kemba had Peyton Siva for THREE Meals at MSG on our way to #3.Helped out by Mr. Boat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another Card OVERATED,

funny, the rivals uconn report says fultz is high on uconn

The No. 7 shooting guard in the Class of 2016 according to 247Sports.com, Fultz wants to play the point in college.

“Hopefully, I’ll be a versatile one that can play the two or the three,” he previously told SNY.tv. “I’m transitioning myself into being a one right now.”

Considering he says he wants to play point guard and be one and done and we'll still have Adams and Gilbert I can't see UConn even making his list.

All these guys say they wanna play point in college. Jamal Murray said that as well but UK already has Ulis and Briscoe. Fultz definately won't end up playing point much at all, he's a scorer.

I imagine you're right. But can't help but think that you can never have too many quality guards. By 2016 Omar and Purv are gone. That would leave only Adams, Gilbert, and Cassell at the 1/2/3 (I'm assuming DHam is gone to NBA). If Diallo does not reclassify to 2016 and stays 2017, it wouldn't SHOCK me to see KO pull in someone like Fultz for one year in 2016. The fact he can play multiple positions is a big plus and jives with what KO preaches as far as offensive system... 'no positions'.

I for one would not be happy with ONLY Adams, Gilbert, and Cassell as guards for 2016. We need another impact player along with them. If it's not Diallo, and it's not Bailey, it has to be someone. Why not Fultz?

If we make his final list we'll know for sure how serious a player UConn is. UK offer doesn't help.

Didn't you hear? Dham is still skinny and sucks now so he'll be here four years lol

I wonder how much more time Romar is gonna get, he pulled in a pretty nice haul for 2015 too but dude has been coaching pros for awhile now and not a lot to show for it in regards to on-court success.

i'm unclear how he still has a job. While he has done a good job producing pros ( currently playing; Terrence ross, Spencer Hawes, IT, Wroten, Pondexter... I mean no max players but a good amount of decent rotation guys), but no NCAAs in 5 years? gotta be fired if he has another bad season imo
