I think this will be a very telling and interesting first rankings for the playoff. What do we think they'll do? The only thing certain is that Georgia will be #1. After that is anyone's guess.
Oklahoma, Cincinnati, Michigan State, and Wake Forest are undefeated. Oklahoma has a lot of "close" wins but their best win is what 5-3 Kansas State? Cincinnati's best win is 7-1 Notre Dame on the road, but has had a so-so at best schedule otherwise. Michigan State's best win is at home over a 7-1 Michigan team who's best win is probably Wisconsin (5-3). Wake's best win is likely Virginia who is 6-3.
As for the one loss team's, Alabama, Ohio State, Oregon, and Notre Dame probably have the best resumes. Here's my guess:
1) Georgia
2) Michigan State
3) Cincinnati
4) Oklahoma
5) Alabama
6) Ohio State
7) Oregon
8) Notre Dame
9) Wake Forest
10) Michigan
