I think its notable we received the same amount of votes as Rutty, Syracuse and BC.

Texas seems to always manage to do the least with the most. They have no excuse. With their recruiting hotbed and the desire of so many instate to play for them, they seem to miss and miss often. To many of the states best go elsewhere due to lack of interest from UT. Their offers often go to those who peaked in highschool. Maybe Herman can change things, I hope not. I love the state but not the horns.
Why are they even ranked after going 5-7? Just because they got a new coach?

Nice thing there isn't any other G5 team ranked.

Always tough for the G5 to work their way into the rankings.

AAC has four more teams receiving votes. Bodes well if any of them lose to each other.

Should be AAC's year to make a NY6 bowl.

Wow I thought for sure Memphis would sneak in. Guess pollsters are swayed by the time zone thing. Also, the UCF game not happening probably pushed them out of people's consciousness.

.-.
Somebody's going to have to explain to me why LSU is still ranked. Talk about SEC bias...

Memphis belongs in the top 25. LSU doesn't and Miami has beaten Bethune-Cookman. They might be fine but seriously, how can you leave them that high based on pre-season hype when others have played actual games?

Really what this shows yet again is how hard it is to get into and out of the top 25 if you are there in the pre-season. Add to that the whole P5 nonsense. San Diego State beat two teams likely to be among the bottom feeders in the PAC.

Both those polls solidify the AAC Champ as being the G5 New Year's day representative. Keeping at least two teams in Top 25 and few more receiving votes is what this league can and needs to do.
