That’s about right

I think Georgia is in regardless. i think they can fart in the general direction of everyone else and end up with the 3 seed at worst.
Georgia is crazy if they don't take the opportunity to blow Alabama's doors off and derail the dynasty. Will help the program immeasurably and put a chink in Saban's armor to not make the playoff. It's a really big game for them.

Oklahoma State is eliminated.

5 teams remain.

Notre Dame is eliminated due to prior loss to Cincinnati.

4 teams remain.

Good. For some reason I think I would really root for Cinci if it were staying in the AAC. It's had a great run but give credit to playing in the AAC rather than bring it to the Big 12, which should just dissolve already.

Cincy beat ND convincingly at ND. If ND gets the nod over Cincy then the CFP is nothing more than a beauty context - they might as well have a swimsuit session.

ND lost just one game all season and it happens to be to the first G5 program to make it to the CFP (seemingtly). what are the odds. awesome.
ND's ACC opponents' number of overall wins: 5, 6, 6, 6, 3
ND's B1G opponents' number of overall wins: 8, 8
ND's PAC 12 opponents' number of overall wins: 4, 3

This is the problem with SOS metrics. ND had like a top 10 SOS whereas Cincinnati was in the 80s. Yet Cincinnati beat:

Non-conference: 11, 2, 6, 6 (FCS)
Conference: 11, 8, 8, 7, 6, 3, 3, 2, 2

Four wins as good as Notre Dame's best win. Playing a bunch of middling teams is better than playing good teams apparently.

I'm rooting for Cincinnati hard. I don't expect them to win, but I hope they have a better showing than ND ever did in the playoffs haha.
