They didn't lose yesterday, but add Oregon to the list of schools that just aren't that good. They've had too many close games against bad teams, yesterday being the latest example. So 7 ranked teams lost yesterday. 6 lost to unranked opponents. Sometimes teams become “fashionable” I think. Or people like the way they play. But they are really pretty average. Kentucky, Minnesota, Miss State are examples. None are that good. Or Wake Forest. Score a ton of points but basically they have 11 orange cones on defense. They hope a runner trips over one.
Outside of GA, is any team good? They didn't lose yesterday, but add Oregon to the list of schools that just aren't that good. They've had too many close games against bad teams, yesterday being the latest example.
That’s about rightGuaranteed path to the playoff:
Georgia: win
Alabama: win
Michigan: win
Cincinnati: win and loss by one of the following schools (Alabama, Michigan, Oklahoma State)
Oklahoma State: win and loss by one of the following schools (Alabama, Cincinnati, Michigan)
Notre Dame: loss by two of the following schools (Alabama, Michigan, Oklahoma State)
I think Georgia is in regardless. i think they can fart in the general direction of everyone else and end up with the 3 seed at worst. That’s about right
Georgia is crazy if they don't take the opportunity to blow Alabama's doors off and derail the dynasty. Will help the program immeasurably and put a chink in Saban's armor to not make the playoff. It's a really big game for them.I think Georgia is in regardless. i think they can fart in the general direction of everyone else and end up with the 3 seed at worst.
