Bando nails a 3, pushes the lead back out.

Ionescu had a slump late in the season when she wasn't playing very aggresively. She was fantastic in Pac 12 tourney and 1st/2nd round of the NCAA Tourney. She's looking non-aggressive again today.


CMU responded w/ another 3, but then Bando scored on a drive. 50-35 5:39 in Q3. CMU playing better but margin is same as halftime.
 
Just noticed, only 1 combined FTA for both teams at this point. That's crazy!

Rebounding is even at 24, but CMU has 12 O boards.
 
another O board for CMU and they get another 3

immediately answered by Bando, she's taken over Q3

No team that shot as badly as CMU did in Q1 should be in the Elite 8 and Oregon is letting them back into the game.
 
Hebard not scoring at will this half but they are starting to draw fouls. Gildon hit both, now Hebard hit 1-2.

Yeah I'm really disappointed w/ Oregon today. This is not the team I've been watching all year.
 
Gildon having an impact, Hebard swatting shots, Oregon up 60-46 now.
 
Now Oregon hitting the O boards. Ionescu just doesn't really have it today. Ducks pulling away w/ FTs.
 
Oregon couldn't fly into Spokane until yesterday. Their plane had mechanical problems. My guess is their routine was thrown off quite a bit.

It's been mostly Gildon and Bando in Q3 for Oregon. 66-48 after 3. Little used Justine Hall just drilled a 3 at the end of the quarter.
 
OK, 3 at the end of quarter to create spacing in the score comparable to UConn.

That could be. They are going to need to be much sharper against ND on Monday.
 
Ionescu does have 7 assists and has had some sweet passes to Hebard and Gildon.
 
Oregon hasn't been much worse than UConn today, and they have another quarter left to pull it past UConn's final score.

If this is playing bad then Oregon's really good.

Oregon is shooting 50% and Hebard is having a monster game with 19 points, 13 boards, and 6 blocks.

They're still gonna score 80+ in a game where they played poorly.

It would not be a stretch to say we had the 4th best offense today out of the 4 winners.

3 starters have been sub par today.


Also Hebard mostly had a monster first half. Only 1 point on 1-4 FTs in the 2nd half. Added some more rebounds and blocks though.

Ionescu scored 6 points in a hurry, almost doubled her scoring output in about a minute.
 
Oregon was up 22 a second ago but now it's back to 16. 74-58 6:27 left.

That behind the back pass and then rebounding the unsuccessful shot to score was more characteristic Ionescu
 
Oregon really turned the tables on CMU w/ offensive rebounding in the 2nd half.

Yeah she's come alive in Q4. Now has 16 points 8 assists 7 rebounds. Not bad for an "off" game.
 
Ionescu just covered a lot of ground to go get that O board off the missed 3 from Bando. Then turned it over, but chased down the CMU player and caused her to miss the layup and grabbed the rebound. Now has 9 rebounds. 1 more board and 2 assists? On triple double watch...again.
