OT: CCSU In NEC Tourney

Capital Lunch makes great chili dogs. A New Britain legend but I’m not sure if it has the same owners. Still plenty of great Polish food on Broad St

Delicious... Although (ducking for cover) I've always found the "sauce" (it's not chili) to be insanely overrated.

I have an extra ticket if anyone needs one. Half court 5 or 6 rows up, on the aisle.
Do you still have it? I have a friend that wants to come now but didn’t grab tickets in time

.-.
Still looking for 1 for tonight. Reached out too late for the ticket CCSU92 was offering. Thanks!

Pepe's in Waterbury. Right off I-84. Although I've never had their pizza there so I can't comment on the quality.

It’s not New Haven but it’s still very good.
I have had a pie at Pepe's in Waterbury when I made the mistake of trying to go to Blackie's on a Friday when they are closed. The pizza was good. No complaints and I have had them from most CT locations in New Haven and east.

BTW, Blackie's is a good option as well for 3 dogs and a birch. A mile or so off I-84 at the Cheshire exit.

I am a UConn Huskies fan through and through and they are my favorite team in all of sports.

Tonight, we are all Central Connecticut State Univ. Blue Devils fans.

Be the first Connecticut team to get in the NCAAT, CCSU.
Alhough I am a bigger UConn fan, I always like to see CCSU win. One of my high school gym teachers was Gene Reilly who is in the CCSU Hall of Fame. He was a good basketball and baseball player who progressed to be a good high school coach.
He was also a former marine and a lunatic like Dan. Good dude. He was there about the same time as Howie but may have left the year before Howie played at what was then Central Connecticut State College.

Loved Blackies I think I need to take a ride and good call on the Birch;)

Remember Willie Macala from Meriden who played with Howie there? Good big back in the day, great dude still is!

Truly sorry. My father in law called and asked for the ticket 2 minutes before your friend got back to me.

I think this is gonna be a low scoring game. Damn near 7 mins in and it's still 4-2

This is painful. 8-8 with 8 minutes in the half

St Francis ordered their uniforms from Temu, jersey fell apart way too easily

It's starting to feel like a repeat of last year's CCSU faceplant against a weaker opponent.

Good grief an abdlsolute rock fight. Looks like the early days of "organized" basketball. The CTHS Girls playoff I attended yesterday had more flow.

At least they picked up the scoring pace but still low scoring going to halftime. Some brutal long range shooting.

Hiowie looks good. Hard to believe that he’s 78.

This is why I couldn't get too happy or count the chickens before the eggs hatched. Even with CCSU having the #1 seed by many games in the NEC and having homecourt during the NEC tournament I just can't feel too confident.
