CBS, USA Today Like New Logo

In case you were curious what people thought who didn't have an emotional attachment to the Friendly Husky Logo:

• CBS: PHOTO: UConn unveils new logo -- and it's pretty terrific
• USA Today: UConn's new logo is definitely an improvement

I found an NBC Sports blog post about how it makes UConn less unique but the post has since been taken down apparently. The Bleacher Report hates it, but, you know... they're a journalistic enterprise like I am. So. Yeah.
Just throwing that out there. Not that it should sway anyone -- just food for thought.

The dog pictured in the new logo is a Siberian Husky. I always thought the Husky was the white version of that breed.

The logos from the 80, 90's and 2000's is a Samoyed. I dont know why there wasnt an uproar when the Samoyed logo came out in the 80's. How can the huskies have a logo that isnt even a husky? The mixed color ones look tougher anyways.

Is it November yet? We need to start talking about a potential beatdown of BC and Indiana at MSG!

For all the "ALL-WHITE WHINERS" as I've come to know you, I want to see one of you point out a national mention of "Hey, shouldn't UConn's husky be all white?"

Because, as I've mentioned before, outside of the Boneyard, no one cares. They probably just see a modernized logo (as apparently these 2 writers have.)

My stomach ache has passed and its growing on me. Can't wait to see it on the unis and sweats. Its sleek, modern and really nice.
The old one looked female to me. (hmmmmm maybe that's why I liked it).
