And I call BS on the "Prince" mention. Your mention of Higgins and Chandler had NOTHING to do with Prince being mentioned. Your whole point of mentioning those two was to take a jab at me...and that's OK. Just own your intentions and don't try to say that they are something other than what they are.

You are awfully sensative. We had a back and forth on those two players at the beginning of the year. And you were way off. We all have to live with our analysis when we make them public. I put myself out there all the time. And poor Tony has had to live with his 190-0 comment for years. You should take his lead and laugh it off.

Although Slaughter denied that til his death. He had also spiked a couple other players that year and the year before. May or may not have been because of color of Robinson's skin. More likely, as some players have said, Slaughter was just an old school, dirty player.

With all the wandering and an OP that I think was pretty misguided this actually was an enjoyable thread to read - some good points made and some nice analysis.
And I would agree that there are a number of freshman across the country that are contributing very well for their teams, and on a stats and playing time basis some of them are outplaying Uconn freshman not named BS. I do not find this surprising in any way. Except at the '4' position Uconn had a lot of talent coming back, and even at the '4' the cupboard was not bare with KS and Kelis Fisher both getting solid minutes there. It isn't too often that Uconn needs starter minutes out of their freshmen - it happened in CD/Tiff's freshman year and again in SD/BH's freshman year.
If incoming freshman are required to play starter minutes, the likelihood of a championship run is not very good. They may play extremely well but they remain freshman with gaps in their knowledge/experience. It can happen, but it requires a seriously talented team around them (or a DT.)
