Castle draft status? | Page 4 | The Boneyard

Castle draft status?

Castle does not have average vision. His skip passes alone would demonstrate that. This is a take of a guy who watches Synergy and not games.
I thought the exact same thing when I read that. Not sure what Woo was watching but that’s off base.

Could Castle end up the #1 pick?

Scouts must be drooling over him. Legit 6'6 with serious on court strength. He finishes though contact as well as you'll see. He has great vision. He's a lockdown defender who can guard 1-4. And he's now showing his shooting. He's a great player/prospect as is and when you factor in how smart a player he is it makes him even more unique.
There are a lot of euros who are gonna get no. 1 pick. Castle may be first American player taken, however.

Dude is the next Michael Jordan if I’ve seen one. Went to the best program to play for the best coach at the time . Same amount of letters in his first and last name. Same height. Dude is built for greatness. I’m not saying mj comparison ehh it’s a little too soon. What can I say I’m a homer lol

ESPN’s latest mock draft has Clingan at 11 snd Castle at 15. They see Clingan as having the ability to rise with improved conditioning and/or a strong March performance.

He'll be the steal of the draft if he lasts until the 15th pick.

Maybe I'm being selfish, Make no mistake, I'm not saying that he's not everything, that everyone's saying. I just feel, in order to go right in and "shine" in the league, he needs one more year. Obviously, if he can go #1, that's once in a million lifetime chance, and he has to take it.. But, if he had just , one more year......SMH...
I agree, He needs another year or two to further his education! LOL!

I hope he dodges the Pistons and Hornets and land with one of the other teams.

Historically the Pistons are a very good franchise. Not sure what’s going on now.

He's pretty steadily increased his box score production as the year has gone on

Season average -
10.9 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 3.1 APG, 1.1 SPG
48.3% FG, 32.4% 3P, 71.6% FT

2024 so far (11 games)
12.7 PPG, 4.6 RPG, 3.3 APG, 1.1 SPG
49.5% FG, 38.5% 3P, 71.1% FT

Last 5 games -
15.0 PPG, 3.4 RPG, 2.0 APG, 0.8 SPG
54.0% FG, 60.0% 3P (6-10!!), 71.4% FT

And one of the best perimeter defenders in the conference

Not to derail this thread but Kevin Ollie does have a good track record with point guards, people forget Ollie’s first year here was 2011. Even in the down years our pg play wasn’t bad. Think whatever else you want of Ollie but we always had good pg play.

I'm probably alone on this, but I think he just might stay for one more year.

unless he is receiving a huge NIL he will be going at the latest next year but more than likely after this season when UConn wins the National Championship once again

Jimmy Butler wasn’t a lottery pick.

If Castle projects as a lottery pick, he should (and I expect he will) go.

Fine Brandon Roy. 4 years 6th pick.

Catch a theme on the two players yet?
