Altavilla has a UCONN Insider article in the Courant today about Cassie Kerns and her current occupation. Unfortunately I can't link the on-line version as it's part of the Pay Courant Digital membership.

On edit maybe I can link it?

Short version is Casie is now a dancer. Part of a troup "Pur Nouveau" . There is a group promo picture included in the article and the answer is "Yes, she is taller than all the other dancers".

(And she doesn't play basketball anymore)

Artists gotta Art.

Not sure about dancing but boy they had some terrific walking towards and away from the camera! Still, IIRC Cassie loved art and was somehow involved with that with the team (forget how - did she create some UCONN WCBB artwork or posters or something?)...

Anyway glad she found something fun and exciting to do!! She was a great kid and teammate while at UCONN...

Always been a fan of Kerns, I love people who aren't afraid to express their individuality. Part of the reason why I enjoy seeing how former players progress after college whether they continue in basketball or not.

I've watched it over and over trying to see some dancing.
Maybe I need to watch it again.

They can cross my street all day long! (O'Kay, please no posts about creepy old men!)

Cassie is featured on Pur | The Company's website. And John A. gets linked there, too.

Here is a piece of art that Cassie did. She did this with just dots. I liked it a lot and it has been hanging on my wall for years.

I didn't see any dancing, but..that's ok.

I did like the song though. Heard it somewhere else, but can't quite place where.

Kerns played basketball?
Best to Cassie in her new venture. I believe it was Cassie, as a new player, informed Gino that his coaching methods needed to be changed. With 9 National Championships to Gino & his staff's credit. he quickly sent her on to her new ventures.
