Congrats to Caronimo. Hopefully the pomp and circumstance is the extra motivation the team needs to overcome Tulsa.

Very happy for Caron. He definitely deserves to be up there.

And now I'm pissed I have to miss this game. Ugh.

Article doesn't come right out and say it, but it's safe to assume Caron will be in attendance, right?

Yeah, didn't they postpone Rudy's first date because he couldn't attend?

Yes. He was inducted when we played Syracuse on gameday in February 2012. It was great that he was there for it. Its a shame that Ray and Rip couldnt be there in 2007 when they inducted the first class.

Of all the guys who left early, he was the one who I remember the most wishing (selfishly) would stay another year.. He was an absolute beast and pumped he will forever be etched into the wall of honor.

100% deserving. Caron was an absolute BEAST and he's a great representative of UConn basketball.

Wonderful news. Did so much on the court. Rebounded, pushed, finished from everywhere. Loved his game.

an all time favorite, I'll never forget that 2002 run

NYC, DC & Cuse, before the eventual champs knocked us off in the final 30 seconds, the only scare they had

I'm still exhausted from that

That Maryland loss in 2002 really upset me. I was having so much fun watching that team and how well they were playing in February and March. I really thought they could knock off MD in the Elite 8. That Steve Blake 3 pointer still haunts me to this day.

Love it! Caron is also a JC success story, and there are plenty more of them. Caron is also an Ambassador and epitomy of UConn basketball. We love our kids street tough/wise but disciplined. JC had a way of instilling discipline and character in our players (they didn't need toughness or fire).

Caron is one of many examples. He came here and had decided to make sure that he leaves successful and not revert back to the 'street life'. How many young kids change their environment but don't change themselves? As for me, I don't want a suburbanite team (well perhaps a sprinkling of kids). Anyway, congrats Caron, you bleed UConn blood and you will always be my prototype UConn basketball player (street tough baller).

I hope JC is there, and I suspect he will be since Caron was his clay.
