Caroline video

She looks lankier, though it may have to do with the low camera angle.

Remember while she was recovering from her concussions, she wasn't able to train. While it was terrific seeing Caroline back on the court, it wasn't "the real" Caroline. I'm looking forward to seeing what a more fully healthy and much better condition. Caroline can do. She may surprise a lot of people.

I won't be surprised. :)

Carol has never looked ‘athletic,’ or like she spends much time lifting. And she still doesn’t appear to have ‘guns.’ But she seems quicker than ever and her legs appear to be a bit leaner and stronger. Quickness was always a limiting factor of her game — she was smart-quick. But now she may be really quick. I hope she can bring that into game play in the fall.

Just to clarify my remark: Carol never had that twitchy first-step quickness that some smaller players have. What Carol has is a quick mind: she makes decisions based on her reading of the court in the moment quicker than most. This has often allowed her to get 'quicker' players on her hip and drive them to the basket. I've always admired this about her game. Ironically, the 'quick first step' types often end up being a little slower because they don't make reads and decisions as quickly. They can squander their moment with fakes, jab-steps, and dribble feints. If Carol has gotten to be physically quicker, as this video suggests, this season could be a revelation for her.

Edited to add: Before her leg problems, Morgan was unusual for a 6'2" player in having the sort of quickness Carol may have achieved. I certainly hope Morgan comes back just as quick, and quickly too.

No need to clarify Bone. Both posts are spot on.

I am still getting used to a 6’2 woman being considered a perimeter player. Fifteen years ago, women of that size played around the basket. Yet, UConn has 3 (Carol, Morgan and Sarah) who have rhe ball handling skills to play the perimeter. What a luxury.

My biggest takeaway from the video was her pull up jumper from the foul line. It was vertical. She did not have this form before. She is definitely stronger. I think she is going to surprise everyone here, especially when she starts the first game. :)
