Caroline on fudd around and find out

I watched it. Very interesting and provided some background on Caroline and Azzi relationship. Didn't know that they were good friends prior to coming to UCONN. In fact, Caroline commented that she committed first and then worked hard on recruiting Azzi. Happy that they both decided to come back for another year. Hopefully they both will have a fantastic year and be major factors in #13.

Her and Azzi were friends before Paige came into the picture

Yup. Carol worked as hard as Paige to bring Azzi to UConn. This was prior to Paige’s enrollment, long before Azzi committed.

Azzi didn't meet Paige until 2017. Paige committed to UConn in 2019, and Azzi likewise a year later.

Agreed we're all anxiously awaiting the season for all of the Huskies, including Azzi.

As for your question, easy now, FanSince17. For one likely quite a bit younger than most BYers, you have a rather short-term memory. Azzi has a 13.3 career average at UConn, including just 13 points per game last season.

Azzi tends to score her threes in bunches, so I'd suggest streaky might be a better description than 'explosive.'

For Azzi to be considered truly a top-level scorer, or perhaps even an All-American, she needs to do it much more consistently, how within your time frame players like Clark, Hidalgo and Siegrist have done. That'll be a tough task given the Huskies' plethora of scorers, even given Geno's apparent habit of giving Azzi extra minutes even when UConn has comfortable leads.

What I'm looking forward to is how Azzi might come up with big games against the toughest competition, as she's shown in the past. That'll be her greatest value to the Huskies.

Great post, however, who doesn’t like to give out a good, “I told you so” once in a while.
Don’t forget she was national HS player of the year as a sophomore, never done before. I don’t need to justify what I said. Everybody knows. Injuries, blahty, blahty, blahty. Your skepticism is perfectly fine. Not sure where it’s coming from. One more comment: remember when they said the only person that could keep Michael Jordan down was Dean Smith. Geno may be the only person to keep Azzi from averaging 30.
 
Before any commitments I was at a game with CFerraro and Paige Azzi Caroline and Amari were walking around Gampel. It was great to see them all together at a game
 
If we get the Azzi who played between the Tennessee game and the National Championship, 17 games, 270 points (15.9 avg) and 45 3 point baskets (2.6 avg), then we will be fine. I believe South Carolina isn't biting at the bit to play against her again soon.
 
Thanks for posting. JMO that if Coach is yelling at CD so much he is not baby sitting her and that he still sees the “be all you can be” in her. I hope she does get to contribute. It is a steep climb since she basically didn’t do much for 2 years. She still needs to work hard as there always seems to be injuries which can provide opportunities. I get the impression she has some PB off-court leadership qualities.

I would not have guessed that Maddie Siegrist was on the top 25 scorers list. I knew she could score, but still.

However I think that if Caroline had never been hit on her head or Azzi never had leg surgery, what might have happened with them playing together for four years...
